Tata
New Delhi: Tata Motors has given its old Sierra a completely new look. It looks completely different from the Sierra of the 2000s, because now it is based on Tata's latest design style. There are slim LED headlamps at the front and rear, along with full-width lightbars. Black ORVMs, C-pillars, flush door handles, dual-tone alloy wheels and shark fin antenna give it a premium feel. Sunrise Yellow and Passion Red colors will be available at launch, both with a black roof.
What wonders will the triple-screen do inside the Sierra?
For the first time, there will be three screens in the cabin – a digital cluster for the driver, a large touchscreen in the middle and a separate display on the passenger side. This was not there before in any Tata vehicle, yes something similar is there in Mahindra XEV 9e. The white-black dual-tone interior will look luxurious, with a lighted logo on the steering (like the Curve and Harrier EV). Other features include dual-zone AC, 360 camera, level-2 ADAS, drive modes, ventilated seats, wireless charger, cruise control, ambient lights and JBL sound system.
What is the beauty of a panoramic sunroof and infinite windows?
It has been confirmed in the previous teaser that there will be a big panoramic sunroof, due to which the sky above will be clearly visible. The 'Infinite Window' setup will bring more air inside and give a lounge-like feel. These features make it a lifestyle SUV—adding a new touch reminiscent of the old Sierra. In the new photos, the car is in red colour, which looks different and attractive from the earlier yellow teaser.
What engines will be available in Sierra – when will the EV arrive?
Under the hood, there will be a 2.0 liter diesel (Harrier variant) along with 1.5 liter normal petrol and 1.5 liter turbo petrol. The new 1.5L TGDi turbo will make 170 PS and 280 Nm, mated to manual, DCT and 6-speed gearbox. There could also be a 2.0L Multijet diesel from Fiat. The petrol-diesel version will launch on November 25, the EV will be seen in December and will arrive in Q1 2026. Tata's next-gen platform will be used in EV.
What will be the price and competition of Sierra?
The price is expected to be between Rs 11-25 lakh (ex-showroom). In the compact SUV segment, it will compete with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hayrider, Volkswagen Taigun and Tata Curve. It is built on a monocoque chassis, which makes it premium and lifestyle. The first batch will be a gift to the Indian Women's Cricket Team at the launch—a celebration of the World Cup win.
